His Concerto in D minor is a perfect example: believed to be a transcription of a long-lost violin concerto, Bach transformed it for harpsichord (an instrument that was quickly growing in popularity) while preserving the spirit of the original. In the same spirit of adaptation, London Mozart Players present a new arrangement of this concerto for guitar.
GRAMMY-nominated guitarist Sean Shibe joins LMP for a programme that journeys from Baroque masterpieces reimagined for guitar to Celtic-inspired contemporary music, capturing the captivating, folk-like beauty of traditional Scottish melodies.
